Regional airline Fly91 is gaining attention for its innovative policies that allow pilots considerable flexibility in deciding their working hours. Headquartered in Goa, the airline debuted in India on March 18, 2024, and currently connects 13 destinations using a fleet of six ATR aircraft. According to Captain Prateek Agarwal, Vice President of Operations, the retention policy lets the 70 pilots choose their preferred flying hours to stay alert and avoid fatigue. The airline also permits cockpit crew to complete their maximum 70 monthly hours over a month or a few weeks. Additionally, the airline partnered with health-tech start-up BeFine Elderly Care to monitor the vital parameters of crew members' elderly parents. These proactive initiatives currently offer free support to staff, helping stem the recurring problem of employee attrition across airlines.
