Vijayawada: AP SECM launches state-level short video contest on energy conservation for students

The Andhra Pradesh State Energy Conservation Mission launched a state-level short video competition for school students ahead of the annual <b>National Energy Conservation Week</b>. AP-Genco Managing Director and SECM Chief Executive Officer <b>S. Nagalakshmi</b> announced the initiative to transform students into champions of sustainability. The competition is open to students from <b>Classes 7 to 10</b> across all government, aided, and private schools in the state. Participants can submit videos ranging from 30 seconds to 2 minutes in duration. Entries can be created in Telugu, English, or Hindi languages by individuals or groups. The official release stated that the event is designed to capture the imagination of youth ahead of the national observance scheduled from December 14 to 20. Officials stated that the initiative aims to promote awareness among young learners regarding energy conservation practices.
