Uttar Pradesh Secures First Rank Nationwide In PM Surya Ghar Yojana

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh has achieved a historic milestone by securing the top rank nationwide in the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme. Lucknow officials confirmed this major development. The state surpassed Gujarat and Maharashtra in cumulative rooftop solar installations. According to UP NEDA Director <b>Ravinder Kumar</b>, a total of <b>9,53,201</b> rooftop solar plants were installed across Uttar Pradesh by November 5, 2026. This achievement is attributed to effective government policies and coordinated efforts by various departments, power corporations, banking institutions, and solar vendors. The state also recorded over 75,031 installations in October 2026.
