Students from Ten Indian States Win Viksit Bharat Buildathon with Robot and Smart Glasses

A team of students from ten states clinched the top spot at the Viksit Bharat Buildathon, unveiling a bomb‑diffusing robot and smart glasses that could revolutionise safety tech. The Ministry‑backed contest, covered by Hindustan Times, included participants from Assam, Delhi, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh. The win also highlights a chronic lag: innovators sprint while bureaucratic wheels grind, delaying funding and prototype approvals. Streamlined support could turn these student inventions into nationwide safety solutions.
