Russian Drone Targets Rescue Workers at Zaporizhzhia Bombing Site in Ukraine

A Russian FPV drone struck emergency workers carrying out search and rescue operations in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region on Sunday. The attack damaged specialised rescue equipment in the village of Komyshuvakha, though Ukraine's State Emergency Service confirmed that no personnel were injured in the latest incident. Rescue operations have been ongoing for seven days following a previous Russian airstrike on November 2 that killed at least 55 people. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the strike as absolute cynicism, accusing forces of deliberately targeting the site while emergency crews worked. Military intelligence reports indicate that around 50 people remain missing following the initial attack on a former school and humanitarian shelter. Authorities are currently conducting DNA analysis to identify recovered bodies as emergency responders continue their work.
