Kolkata: Suvendu Adhikari urges police vigilance for Diwali after stampede tragedy.

West Bengal Chief Minister <b>Suvendu Adhikari</b> on Saturday addressed the tragic stampede at the Chorbagan Durga Puja pandal that resulted in <b>19</b> deaths, stating the incident could have been avoided with better coordination. Adhikari urged Kolkata Police Commissioner Ajay Nand to remain vigilant during upcoming festivals. A special investigation team is probing the incident, and <b>9</b> arrests have already been made in connection with the investigation. The government stated that it would implement all recommendations made by the special investigation team to prevent similar tragedies during the upcoming Kali Puja, Diwali, and Chhath Puja celebrations.
