Karnataka CM Slams BJP Over PM Visit Credit Claims

Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar accused certain BJP leaders of attempting to claim credit for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Bengaluru. The PM is scheduled to arrive on November 13 to inaugurate the metro Pink Line, an event officially invited by the state government. Shivakumar stated that the opposition party has no role in organizing this specific infrastructure milestone. Speaking to media in Kanakapura, the CM highlighted that the state is developing the metro network through borrowing funds. He expressed surprise at the political maneuvering, noting that the BJP leaders were seeking publicity for an event they did not arrange. The CM emphasized that the visit is a state initiative, not a central government project. Shivakumar plans to present key infrastructure issues directly to the Prime Minister during the November 13 visit.
