India’s space agency ISRO will launch the NVS‑03 satellite on October 30 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre. The 20th GSLV flight aims to expand navigation services for trains, vehicles and ships across the country. The launch is a technical win, but the real challenge is getting the upgraded GPS signals into the railways and shipping lanes quickly, amid the bureaucratic delays that have stalled past projects. If the satellite delivers, commuters and maritime operators could soon see more accurate routing and fewer delays.
