Heavy Rains Hit Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Hyderabad as Weather Turns Sudden

Heavy rains have slammed Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and the capital Hyderabad early this week, catching commuters off guard. The state meteorological department issued the warning only hours before the downpour, and local authorities have yet to clear clogged storm‑water drains, a chronic issue that turns every drizzle into a flood nightmare for residents. Daily‑wage earners and middle‑class families now face lost wages, school‑bus delays and higher electricity bills as power cuts follow the surge; stay indoors, avoid water‑logged streets and keep an emergency kit ready.
