Gujarat: Leopard kills seven‑year‑old boy in Amreli district

A leopard mauled a seven‑year‑old boy to death in broad daylight on Saturday in Amreli district, Gujarat, around 8.45 am. The attack occurred in a cotton field owned by Jitu Manjariya on the outskirts of Sanosara village, between Sanosara and Mota Bhandariya, where more than 20 labourers were picking cotton. Two children were fetching water; one was attacked and the other fled in panic. The Forest Department has launched a search operation to track and capture the animal, as authorities respond to the incident.
