Durg Police Issues Strict Warning Against Gambling During Diwali Across Districts

Durg Police has issued a strict warning stating that gambling is a social evil and not a Diwali tradition, adding that offenders will face legal action and jail. During recent crackdowns across seven districts of the Durg division, authorities registered <b>12 cases</b> and arrested <b>48 accused</b> individuals for alleged gambling activities. Police also seized cash totaling <b>INR 83,410</b> along with 12 packs of playing cards from the suspects. Officials stated that police forces have tightened security across the region to curb illegal gambling operations during the festive season as the matter remains under investigation.
