Congress retains MLC seat as Abhijit Wanjarri wins in RSS stronghold

Congress’s lone saviour in the MLC elections, Abhijit Wanjarri, clinched victory, holding onto his seat in a region traditionally dominated by the RSS bastion. The win came as the party fought to stay relevant. The outcome lays bare the systemic apathy that plagues the administration, where bureaucratic red‑tape and ideological loyalty eclipse basic governance, leaving voters with promises but no progress. Congress can claim a morale boost, but voters will judge the result by tangible development on the ground.
