Centre Releases Rs 1.09 Lakh Crore Tax Devolution Installment to Boost State Development Projects

The Union Government has released a massive <b>Rs 1.09 lakh crore</b> as tax devolution to state governments, providing a significant financial boost ahead of the festive season. This release includes one regular monthly installment and one additional advance installment, aimed at empowering states to accelerate capital expenditure and fund ongoing welfare schemes. The Ministry of Finance confirmed that this move is part of the government's commitment to strengthening <b>cooperative federalism</b> and ensuring states have adequate liquidity for development. Uttar Pradesh received the highest share of <b>Rs 19,618 crore</b>, followed by Bihar with Rs 10,989 crore and Madhya Pradesh with Rs 8,560 crore.
