Assam: Volunteer organisation delivers water filtration units to flood-hit villagers.

The volunteer-run organisation <b>Jeevan Initiative</b> has taken charge of water-related issues in seven flood-hit villages located in eastern <b>Assam</b>'s Charaideo district. Under its Paani Campaign, the group has successfully delivered self-sustaining water filtration units to cover about <b>3,000</b> flood-affected villagers across the seven targeted Charaideo settlements. Charaideo and Sivasagar districts were among the worst-affected areas when severe floods ravaged several eastern Assam districts during the monsoon season.
