Ahmedabad: Fire at Leamak Company plant kills one

A fire erupted on Saturday today at the <b>Leamak Company</b> plant on Bavla‑Ahmedabad Road in Ahmedabad, killing one person. The blaze began on the third floor where chocolate is produced. Firefighters from Sanand, Bavla and Ahmedabad were dispatched and fought the flames for nearly three hours using continuous water jets, eventually bringing the fire under control, officials said. Authorities are investigating the cause of the incident and have not released further details, while the plant remains shut pending safety checks, according to the fire department.
